highlights of Rocktoberfest X
We had an epic day as Millburn, Short Hills and the Millburn Education Foundation celebrated Rocktoberfest X. Rocktoberfest is an annual music festival fundraiser in its 11th year featuring incredible live music, local food and drink vendors, retail and artisan vendors, a beer garden and lots of fun activities for the entire family. Below are the highlights that we posted leading up to the event.
Featured Headliner
We are pleased to announce our 2026 headliner: Leon and the Peoples! They are NYC's #1 Reggae Soul Band and fuse the heartbeat of reggae with the warmth of soul into a sound entirely their own. We can't wait for them to take the Rocktoberfest stage! For more info, check our Music HQ page.
Food & Shopping
Starting at 12pm, you'll find an assortment of Food & Shopping options from local eateries and retail stores plus lots of great handmade goods and unique products in our Artisan Village. Visit our nonprofit tables to learn how to get involved in the community and our education vendors to learn about activities for your children. For more info, check our Food & Shopping page.
3 Stages with Live Music
Rocktoberfest is also proud to showcase local musicians and teen bands on several stages throughout the day and evening. Each band brings their own unique sounds to the stage, offering a diverse mix of genres that reflect the spirit of our community. Whether you're into rock, pop, or Bollywood dance, there's something for every musical taste.
Boxcar
Stage
Our Rocktoberfest after party starting at 9pm featuring "Higher Ground" will be at our Acoustic Stage at Boxcar Bar & Grill at 25 Chatham Rd in Short Hills where you can enjoy a great meal with music. For more info, check our Music HQ page.

In 2026, we are expanding our Inclusivity Zone, presented in partnership with Paper Mill Playhouse. From 12:00 until 4:30, we will have arts, crafts, and theater workshops from Paper Mill Playhouse. There will also be a quiet air-conditioned zone inside the Bauer Center for guests who want a quieter break from the festival energy.
Beer
Garden
From 12:00pm until 10:00pm, our Beer Garden is for 21 and over and adults can enjoy beer, wine and non-alcoholic options while listening to music near the main stage.
This year the Beer Garden VIP Experience returns! It ncludes a reserved table for your crew, drink tickets, snacks, waiter service, name in the event magazine & website, plus some fun surprises!
